Celebrating Mental Health Awareness Month at Peloton: A Commitment to Well-Being

At Peloton, we believe that true strength starts from within — and that means prioritizing mental health and well-being as much as physical fitness. As we celebrate Mental Health Awareness Month, we want to highlight how Peloton supports our team members, fosters an inclusive environment, and empowers everyone to thrive both at work and in life.

Why Mental Health Matters at Peloton

Well-being is not just a buzzword at Peloton; it’s a core value embedded into our culture. We understand that happiness and mental health directly impact creativity, productivity, and overall quality of life. That’s why we invest deeply in programs, resources, and policies that help our employees bring their best selves to work every day.

This year, in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, Peloton took a meaningful step by giving every employee a dedicated wellness day — a chance to pause, recharge, and focus on their mental and emotional health. Because at Peloton, your happiness truly matters.

Thrive: Our Employee Resource Group Championing Mental Health

One of the driving forces behind our mental health initiatives is our Thrive Employee Resource Group (ERG). Thrive is more than just a support community — it’s a space where education, advocacy, and empowerment come together to create a more inclusive and understanding workplace.

Charlotte Janes, Co-Lead of Thrive UK, shares, “Myself and my Thrive UK TMLG co-lead, through our personal experiences of disability, neurodiversity and mental health, aim to lend our perspective and experience to better the work environment for current and future team members. This includes bringing awareness to different types of neurodiversity and disabilities through education and resources on Slack, sourcing (and in the works/soon to be launched) Mental Health First Aider and Neurodiversity for Managers training.”

Their efforts are paving the way for stronger support systems and enhanced mental health literacy across Peloton.

Engaging Events to Support Mind and Body

Throughout May, Thrive hosts a variety of events designed to nurture both mental and physical well-being. One highlight is the Mind-Body Panel, where experts and team members came together to explore the important connection between mental health and physical wellness. Thrive also hosted Wellness Fairs in our Plano and NYC locations to offer a comprehensive showcase of resources, tools, and practical tips to support holistic health.

In addition, Peloton team members in Plano and NYC participated in the NAMI Walk, a meaningful event organized by the National Alliance on Mental Illness to raise awareness and support mental health causes. To make self-care fun and accessible, Thrive also promotes the “31 Ways to Wellness” bingo challenge, encouraging employees to engage in daily small acts of mindfulness and well-being throughout the month.

“Showing up for our team members during Mental Health Awareness Month is especially important to Thrive’s mission. Our goal is to show-up in many places throughout the month and actively contribute to a workplace culture that truly values mental well-being, ensuring support is visible and accessible for all,” says Kath McDonald, Co-Lead of Thrive.
