Group Product Manager, Mobile App

ABOUT THE ROLE

Peloton is seeking an experienced Group Product Manager to lead the development and growth of our mobile app experience.  The mobile team owns the experience across iOS and Android on mobile, tv, and wearable devices. Peloton’s mobile apps are an important and growing focus for the team, as they provide an easy way for new members to engage with Peloton’s high-quality content at a greater range of price points. 

This individual will play a critical role in owning the strategy and execution of initiatives aimed at improving engagement and driving growth within our consumer mobile business. With experience in building mobile apps and a solid understanding of consumer subscription models, the ideal candidate will enjoy a player-coach role where they undertake meaningful PM work on some of our biggest initiatives while also managing a small team of product managers. They will report to the Senior Director of Product and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Design, Engineering, Content and Marketing to deliver a world-class mobile experience.

YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON

  • As a player
    • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to improve the Peloton mobile app experience and develop strategies and features that help Peloton members get the most out of their experience. 
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive and inspiring product strategy for driving user engagement and growth. Identify areas for product innovation.
    • Define and monitor success metrics and offer data-driven insights to inspire new features, tools and experiments that drive engagement.
    • Work with User Research and Analytics to develop a deep understanding of our Members to ensure the product roadmap is grounded in their needs.
    • Take an active role in driving features to launch by translating product requirements into engineering requirements and testing criteria, performing User Acceptance Testing and designing experiments in collaboration with Engineering, Program Management and Analytics partners.
  • As a coach/manager
    • Manage, mentor, and develop a small team of product managers, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and excellence.
    • Guide the team in setting objectives, prioritizing projects, and delivering impactful results.
    • Coach the individuals on your team for growth, helping them develop the skills necessary to meet their goals and drive business impact

YOU BRING TO PELOTON

  • 6+ years of Product Management experience, with a proven track record of building and scaling mobile apps.
  • 1-3 years experience managing Product Managers
  • Exceptional communication skills, especially the ability to work closely with experts in a different field, understand their needs and translate them into strategy, features and tools
  • Highly collaborative and willing to give and accept constructive feedback
  • Self starter; ability to act autonomously
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem solving skills
  • Constant attention to detail

BONUS

  • Experience in consumer subscription models and driving growth through subscription-based features.
  • Experience working on a consumer software product with integrated hardware.
  • Experience in health and fitness, content streaming, or other related fields.
  • Knowledge of ML-based recommendations and/or content curation tools.

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position based at our New York City headquarters. The actual base salary offered for this position will depend on numerous factors including individual performance, business objectives, and if the location for the job changes. Base Salary Range
$213,300—$277,300 USD
