Full Stack Staff Software Engineer

As an expert in both the full range of the web development stack as well as data infrastructure implementations, you’ll lead the way in defining the foundation for an increasing amount of software development work in our Enterprise Technology organization. You’ll use your leadership skills to gain alignment among your peers on various architectural decisions. The successful candidate will have a mix of excellent technical, analytical, program management, and communications skills. You are a strong, acknowledged leader, a compassionate listener, and you can explain complex ideas to C-level audiences using plain English as well as act as a mentor to other developers across the team. You have worked for a large enterprise but you’ve also worked in startup environments, gaining exposure to a wealth of solutions to common problems. You are very collaborative, thrive when solving hard problems, and move effortlessly across organizational boundaries.

Y OU BRING TO PELOTON
- 7+ years of hands-on experience as an engineer/lead
- Strong experience with Ruby on Rails and/or Kotlin, Front end development using frameworks like React
- Strong Experience with service oriented architecture, writing REST API’s, unit testing, and architectural design
- Strong Experience with relational/NoSQL databases and Kafka
- Experience working with AWS (Amazon web services)
- Experience working on Agile teams
- Strong project management skills with ability to accurately estimate development and testing efforts, identify tasks on the critical path, and assess risk in the overall project
- Proven history of putting the user or customer experience front-and-center when developing solutions
- Demonstrable ability to understand a company’s business model, what drives it and what hurts it
- Experience with Logistics, Supply chain, Member (customer), sales, retail and marketing systems on both browser and mobile interfaces
- Strong communication skills in all mediums
- The ability to take complex needs and goals and develop easy to understand explanations for all audiences to understand
Base Salary: $213,300.00 to $245,300.00
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position based at our New York City headquarters. The actual base salary offered for this position will depend on numerous factors including individual performance, business objectives, and if the location for the job changes. Our base salary is just one component of Peloton’s competitive total rewards strategy that also includes annual equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan as well as other region-specific health and welfare benefits.
